STATIONS OF THE CROSS

ACCOMPANY OUR LORD ON HIS WAY TO CALVARY
As a way of preparation, the Grade 11s has been working for weeks for the Stations of the Cross. They wanted to present something different and attractive to ACS. Their team work, initiative, creativity and responsibility were present and the external result was very good. Well done Grade 11s ! This took place on 23rd March at 07h45 in the mini hall. Girls from each Grade participated actively in each station. The Grade 11s tried to involve all the grades in the different tasks or responsibilities: acting, speaking, prayer, choir, backstage and logistics (power point and music).
It was short and meaningful! The personal questions reached the ordinary circumstances of each one of us. With His grace, the impact of it remains in each of our hearts.
I hope you have a Blessed Holy Week and Happy Easter.

SINGING SISTAS AT ST MARY'S

On Tuesday 27 March, the High School Choir sang at the Singing Sistas festival at St Mary’s School. The choir sang Weep no More by David Childs, Chilli con Carne by Anders Edenroth, and Joshua by Rollo Dilworth. The choir then joined the choirs of St Mary’s, St Andrew’s, and St Teresa’s to sing Be thou my vision and a medley of Zulu Wedding songs. After the massed items the festival turned into a party as all the choirs joined in together singing and dancing all the way to the car park!

RUNNING FOR CHARITY
This year, 2018, I am running my 10th Comrades Ultra Marathon on the 10th June 2018. To celebrate this, I have registered to run for charity. I have selected CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa) and joined the COWS. The COWS are the fund raising arm of the CHOC foundation. This arm started out in 2008 and since then has grown into a world renowned group of regular people that take on events such as the 94.7 Cycle race, the Iron Man, and the Comrades Marathon. Today I am proud to be one of those COWS that will help CHOC celebrate 10 years.
So, how can you help: I am looking for donations and support. By clicking on the below you will be taken to the Comrades Marathon website, where you are able to make a donation which is linked to my running profile. It will only take 3 minutes of your time but will add a lifetime to the patients, doctors, nurses and families that are affected by cancer.
You can log on to the Comrades Home page: Click on Charities Tab and then Race 4 Charity. This will take you to the runner profile page. Search for my name, view profile and then click on Make a donation. Thank you for taking the time. http://www.comrades.com/charities/race-4-charity
Quickest way: is to click on the below link. This will take you directly to my profile. Here you will also be able to leave a message of encouragement or a note of remembrance for a loved one.
