The ‘Christmas House’

Doreen and her husband Des opened their home to visitors for 26 years. In their home, thousands of families have been treated to the magical story of how Father Christmas gets our presents to us.
Although Des passed away in March 2012 Doreen has continued to open her home, with the help of volunteers from the community. Des and Doreen’s home will open again during the 2014 Festive season.
You will find a small part of the North Pole on the corner of Mullins and Oxford Road, border of Bedfordview/ Kensington. Doors will open from 7pm to approximately 9pm each night from the 3th to the 24th December 2014. There is no charge and all donations will go to charity.
A great way to get into the spirit of Christmas!

Buy a Brick Campaign fund latest update
Thank you to all the families below for their generous donations! Your support makes a huge difference.
To date R173 256.67 has been received by the fund. All donors will be eligible for tax relief in terms of the current legislation and will receive a section 18a tax certificate. Donations will also be suitably acknowledged on a role of honour, which will be on permanent display in our new hall. These will placed in categories; (bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond).
This fund will not be simply absorbed into capital costs but rather used for identified projects so that donors will be aware of where their money has been invested. We have bought a baby grand piano, and a beautifully restored ‘Public Works Department’ clock originally manufactured in 1945. We are also looking at purchasing a new lectern, school crest, crucifix, piano dust cover and seating for the hall.
The ‘Buy a Brick Campaign’ will continue up until the 28 November 2014.
