Presentation Festival

On Monday night, the Grade 10 the ACS public speaking team presented their speeches at Bishop Bavin. Ms Faull remarked that all speeches were eloquently delivered and the content displayed depth and much insight. Annalisa Taffara was selected best speaker and Katie-Meg Weinerlein runner-up speaker in their respective venues.

On Wednesday night, the Grade 8s debuted their public speaking careers at St Benedict’s College. They were all very nervous, but did ACS very proud by speaking about issues that are pertinent to our society today. Well done to Erin Lewis who was awarded runner-up best speaker of the evening.

On Thursday night, the Grade 9s concluded the festival at Holy Rosary School with a bang! Amy Weinerlein and Shaylee Bekker were the best speakers for the evening. Mr Workman was very impressed with the high standard of the speeches and Mr Davis commented on the maturity of the topics handled by our Gr 9 speakers.

Congratulations to all the speakers and a big thank you to all our fans i.e. teachers, friends, moms and dads who supported us all throughout the festival. Special mention to Mrs Watkins and Mrs Taylor whose presence at several evenings made us feel very calm and loved. We anticipate that all girls have learned and gained much experience in the field of public speaking and look forward to next year’s festival!
